President Joe Biden will travel to France to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings at Normandy during World War II, with many lawmakers also making the trip.

The House will be in <a href="https://www.majorityleader.gov/schedule/weekly-schedule.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">session</a> tonight through Wednesday, beginning consideration of appropriations legislation for fiscal year 2025 with the <a href="https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/8580" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">bill</a> to fund military construction and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Fauci is <a href="https://oversight.house.gov/hearing/a-hearing-with-dr-anthony-fauci/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">testifying</a> for the first time since his retirement from government service, this morning before the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Tomorrow, the Judiciary Committee will hold an oversight <a href="https://judiciary.house.gov/committee-activity/hearings/oversight-us-department-justice-4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">hearing</a> with Garland.

The Senate is also scheduled to be in <a href="https://www.senate.gov/legislative/floor_activity_pail.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">session</a> through Wednesday, <a href="https://www.politico.com/f/?id=0000018f-da92-d531-afdf-db9362760000" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">focusing</a> on legislation regarding contraception access.  

Yellen will <a href="https://www.appropriations.senate.gov/hearings/a-review-of-the-presidents-fiscal-year-2025-budget-request-for-the-us-department-of-treasury" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">testify</a> on her department’s budget tomorrow at the Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government.

The Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee will hold a <a href="https://www.hsgac.senate.gov/hearings/streamlining-the-federal-cybersecurity-regulatory-process-the-path-to-harmonization/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">hearing</a> Wednesday on the federal cybersecurity regulatory process.

Biden this evening will <a href="https://www.courant.com/2024/05/29/president-joe-biden-coming-to-connecticut-next-week-for-major-greenwich-fundraiser/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">attend</a> a campaign fundraiser in Greenwich, Connecticut.

The president will spend the rest of the week in <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2024/05/30/statement-from-white-house-press-secretary-karine-jean-pierre-on-president-bidens-travel-to-france/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">France</a>, commemorating D-Day Thursday and Friday in Normandy.

Saturday, French President Emmanuel Macron will <a href="https://apnews.com/article/france-us-biden-state-visit-dday-447321bddf0c5ad464d61d2d82b12372" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">host</a> Biden for a state visit.
